About the NVD

The Dutch Demographic Society  has existed since 1928, and Prof. I. (Inge) Hutter is chairman of the board. The NVD has the task to promote the scientific study of demography and to spread the demographic knowledge.

The NVD is trying to fulfill this task by organizing conferences and seminars and by disseminating publications such as Demos. These meetings and publications are not only interesting for scientists and students but also for policy makers, teachers, officials, journalists and entrepreneurs.
