Dutch Demograpic Days

On Tuesday 20 November 2012 the Netherlands Demographic Society (NVD) will host the fifth Dutch Demography Day. Demographers and researchers from other disciplines will have the opportunity to present their current research.

The day will start with a plenary session on the “battle for talent”: knowledge migration and migration of highly skilled migrants in an era of labour market shortages. More information will follow soon. The plenary meeting will be followed by three rounds of parallel sessions with presentations on various topics.

On  9 November 2011, the Netherlands Demographic Society (NVD) hosted the fourth Dutch Demography Day. Demographers and researchers from other disciplines had the opportunity to present their current research. The day started with a plenary lecture with the theme 'The inherent conflict between increasing life expectancy and declining health.

Tuesday 22 September 2009

On 22 October 2009, the Netherlands Demographic Society (NVD) hosted the third Dutch Demography Day. Demographers and researchers from other disciplines had the opportunity to present their current research. The day started with a plenary lecture  by Ina Brouwer (Chairman MOgroep Kinderopvang), followed by 3 rounds of parallel sessions with paper presentations.

On Tuesday 9 October 2007, the Netherlands Demographic Society (NVD) hosted the second Dutch Demography Day. Demographers and researchers from other disciplines had the opportunity to present their current research. The day started with a plenary lecture on the consequences of population ageing for the supply of labour by Jolande Sap, director of the Expertisecentrum LEEFtijd, followed by 3 rounds of parallel sessions with paper presentations. 132 persons attended the Demography Day.
