On June 9, 2016 the Dutch Sociological Association (NSV) and the Flemish Society for Sociology (VVS) organize their annual meeting “Dag van de Sociologie” (DvdS). The 16th DvdS will be organized by the Sociology department at Tilburg University.
As of now, the call for papers is launched. It is possible to submit the abstract of your paper (max. 250 words) on the website of the NSV (www.nsv-sociologie.nl). The call is open for all sociological topics. On the registration form you can indicate your preferred panel (see below). This year there are also several thematic panels, which already include four paper presenters. You can register for those thematic panels, but we can only accommodate extra papers if we receive a sufficient number of papers for an extra session. If this is not the case, we will reassign your paper to a regular panel.
Papers that do not fit in one of the themes can be submitted to the ‘open session’. On the registration form you can also indicate whether you prefer presenting your paper in English or Dutch. Sessions will either be in Dutch or English.
The paper submission system is open until April 11. After this deadline, the panel chairs review the paper proposals. In case your paper (due to practical or thematic reasons) does not fit the preferred panel, we will try to reassign it to another panel. The program will be announced in due time on the website.
All participants (presenters, panel chairs, visitors) should register through the website (www.nsv-sociologie.nl) to be able to attend the DvdS (online registration is possible from April 1). It will not be possible to participate in the DvdS without being registered and having paid in advance.
