The main theme of the NDS 2019 is \u201c50 years of Nordic demographic research\u201d. This is to honor that the Nordic Demographic Society was established 50 years ago, at a symposium in Esbo in 1968.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We welcome contributions from all areas of demographic research, e.g. fertility and family dynamics, migration, health and mortality, population ageing, inter-generational relations, and other related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to participate in the symposium, please submit your abstract by December 1, 2018 to: nds2019@su.se<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abstracts of a maximum of 250-300 words should include information about:
\u2022 The study background
\u2022 Objectives and\/or research question(s)
\u2022 Data and methods
\u2022 Results
\u2022 Main conclusions.
We kindly ask you to include subtitles for each section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authors who wish to have their submission considered only for a poster session should make an indication of this when submitting the abstract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proposals will be reviewed by the symposium’s scientific committee and authors will receive a notification about the acceptance decision by January 15, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Dates:
\u2022 Deadline for submitting abstracts is December 1, 2018.
\u2022 Notification of acceptance will be made by January 15, 2019.
\u2022 Registration opens on January 15 and closes on March 31, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final (accepted) abstracts will be published on the symposium website unless requested otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
