On\u00a023 November 2016<\/strong>\u00a0 the Netherlands Demographic Society (NVD) hosted the 8th Dutch Demography Day in the Academy Building of Utrecht (Domplein). The plenary session started with a keynote speech by\u00a0 Professor Jean-Marie Robine<\/strong> (Institut National de la Sant\u00e9 et de la Recherche M\u00e9dicale and \u00c9cole Pratique des Hautes \u00c9tudes), entitled \u201cThe Revolution of Adult Longevity\u201d. During the day demographers and researchers from several disciplines presented their research in three rounds of parallel sessions and one poster session. The 2016 NVD Poster Award was won by Ellen Dingemans (Nederlandse Interdisciplinair Demografisch Instituut \u2013 NIDI) for her poster \u201cWorking after retirement and life satisfaction\u201d.
