In general, the goal of the Netherlands Demographic Society is to promote and disseminate knowledge about population issues. The NVD aims to achieve this goal by organizing various meetings such as thematic conferences, seminars and the yearly, well-attended Dutch Demography Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each year, the NVD organises the Dutch Demography Day<\/strong>. At this one-day conference, researchers of various disciplines can present their work, establish contacts with colleagues and exchange results and ideas. The Annual Meeting of the NVD (members only) also takes place during this day. Further, the NIDI-NVD Thesis Award<\/strong> is awarded and the winner of the Seed Grant <\/strong>is announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to the annual Dutch Demography Day, the NVD organizes seminars<\/strong> about a topical demographic issue.
